In the thesis design class, we have a mentorship program and I've been lucky to get a mentor that not only did the same program I'm in currently, but she's also the creative director! Pretty awesome huh?
But now, I sit in my living room with a (long time coming) cold, on my laptop (eeeeeeeee! I'm still in shock that such a thing belongs to me) and watching Iron Man.
Oh how sweet it is.
Here's a oil pastel piece I did earlier this year. The story of this surrounds folklore from El Salvador. I don't recall her name right now, but my mom would always tell me to put my hair up before I would go to bed or else this woman would come by and comb my hair and take away my soul. Good teaching tactic huh? Anyways, I rendered it so that the lost souls become a pattern on her dress.
